ELICE is a wonderful kind and tall mare we acquired in 2003. She was bred by Susanne Quarles of Some Day Soon Farm.  Susanne was the owner of Felice's sire Wertherson. Felice looks almost black and stands a good 16-2hh with wonderful gaits with lots of loft.  She was bred to the Holsteiner CONCERTO GROSSO shortly after moving to our farm and the next year produced a splendid colt with the best disposition.  The colt CRESCENDO was the Champion Colt out of eighteen colt foals at the Chestnut Lawn Farm inspection.  He was quickly purchased by a farm in Connecticut for a jumper prospect and has continued to thrive. This year FELICE is in foal to SANDRO HIT for an April foal.  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of this foal since it is by Sandro Hit and also it will be our only foal in 2006. Our present plans are to breed FELICE to A FINE ROMANCE after a safe and hopefully uneventful foaling.
