ONTESSA, by Contucci, out of his first North American foal crop, was the highest scoring filly foal of all inspected ISR/OLDNA foals in NA in 1999.  Her scores were 9 for conformation and type, 8.5 for movement and 8.5 for overall impression. She was judged by the meticulous breeding inspector Dr. Karsten Kuehl of Germany. As a yearling shown in hand she was undefeated and qualified for the USDFBC series at Devon.  Today she is 16-2, absolutely gorgeous, a beautiful head and soft big eyes, wonderful conformation, and incredible movement for dressage. Her color is bright chestnut with a pretty blaze and one rear stocking. Her dam was an 8.5 inspection champion foal herself, with the breeding of the Dutch “Olympic”Ahorn who was an international showjumper frequently included in the Dutch team for World Cup and Grand Prix events. Ahorn’s sire is the “preferent” Nimmerdor, who is a legend in his own time.  His dam is Hyazinthe by Ladykiller, A German state premium mare who currently holds the “keur”, “preferent” and”prestatie” status in Holland. Contessa also has the blood of five of the International Jumping Bloodlines which include Dark Ronald, French Grey, *Teddy, Nearco and *Blenheim II. Contessa foaled her first offspring in 2005.  SANDRO STAR is by the World Champion dressage stallion SANDRO HIT.  SANDRO STAR was the Champion Colt and Overall Foal at the Chestnut Lawn Farm OLDNA inspection with a score of 8.4 over 30 other foals.  Contessa will be bred back in 2006 to SANDRO HIT.
